Petros Papadopoulos is an Advocate based in Limassol, Cyprus, and a member of the Cyprus Bar Association. Petros studied Law at the University of Cambridge, graduating with a BA (Hons) and subsequently with an MA (Cantab). He later pursued postgraduate studies at the Geneva Graduate Institute, graduating with an LLM in International Law.
Prior to establishing his independent practice, Petros worked at leading law firms in Cyprus and served at the General Court of the European Union in Luxembourg. His practice focuses on litigation, human rights, and international law. He regularly appears before the courts of Cyprus in complex disputes, with a particular interest in cases involving fundamental rights, cross-border issues, and multi-jurisdictional dimensions.
Petros advises and represents individuals, businesses, and organisations in a wide range of contentious matters. Combining rigorous legal analysis with persuasive advocacy, he is committed to advancing his clients’ interests with professionalism, integrity, and determination.
In addition to his legal practice, Petros frequently publishes articles in national newspapers on contemporary legal issues of public importance. His writings have addressed topics including freedom of religion, freedom of expression, freedom of assembly, the right to a fair trial, environmental rights, and developments in the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights.
Petros is also a published novelist with a longstanding passion for literature and poetry. His creative background informs his legal practice, enabling him to develop innovative arguments while presenting complex issues with clarity, precision, and structure.
